Waist Down examines Miuccia Prada's extensive body of work, focusing specifically on the waist down, or rather the skirt. Beginning in Fall Winter 1988 and spanning until Spring Summer 2006. The book is presented with double spreads dedicated to each featured skirt, with a flat lay photograph of the skirt alongside a large detail shot. Allowing the reader to discover the evolution of the skirt, an ordinarily overlooked garment. Each skirt is then presented in a catalogue format with the original styled look from the show, with descriptions and details of the skirt including materials used and the overall concept.
