Visions of the body: Fashion or Invisible Corset was released alongside the exhibition held in The Kyoto Costume Institute in 1999, in conjunction with The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.
The exhibition presented the works of renowned fashion designers in the twentieth century alongside contrasting works of contemporary artists such as Issey Miyake, Comme des Garçons, Prada, Yohji Yamamoto, Hussein Chalayan, Balenciaga, Martin Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier et al. Exploring the question of the body through fashion and fashion's relationship to the body.
