CERAMIC CHOPSTICK RESTS
Set of five Mino Ware stone and ceramic chopstick rests that were produced exclusively for the opening of the first Celine flagship store in Ginza.
"The facade of Celine Ginza is based on the keywords 'locality' and 'time'. Designed using traditional material. The 2,220 pieces of ceramic, handcrafted by craftsmen in the Mino region of Gifu Prefecture, each have a different expression. We create a unique worldview."
The same reduction firing technique used for the ceramic on the Celine store facade was used to create these tablewares. The kiln transformation creates a unique colour that appears on the surface.
