"In 2002, NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) broadcast a special programme on the internationally influential fashion designer Rei Kawakubo". Within the programme Kawakubo talks about her creative idea's as they follow her designs being created with testimonials from those involved in the creation.
Unlimited is made up of a collection of still images taken from the NHK programme. The programme began when filming the making of the Fall Winter 2001 collection 'Beyond Taboo'. Unlimited features quotes from Kawakubo herself, along with many other notable industry experts and collaborators as they discuss Kawakubo's influence on the industry. Featuring words by Junya Watanabe, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier et al. The book is written in both Japanese and English.
